AL FAYED, new entry at ISSAN STUD

The Straight Egyptian stallion Al Fayed has arrived in ISSAN STUD, his new stud and residence in Morocco.

He is a son of the outstanding sire – now deceased – ANSATA SINAN (Prince Fa Moniet x Ansata Nefara by Ansata Halim Shah). During his career, Ansata Sinan achieved a great number of titles. Prominent among them are the titles of
1994 Egyptian Event Junior Champion Colt
1994 Egyptian Event Reserve Supreme Champion Stallion
1995 European Champion Stallion
1995 World Reserve Champion Stallion, Salon du Cheval, Paris, France

His dam, Zahir Kalila, tails her sire line to the Ansata Imperial son Imperial Inzaar. His dam line is founded on Babson imports from Cairo and traces to the Saqlawiyah Jidraniyah strain of Ghazieh, a root mare bred by Ibn Sudan of the Saba Anazeh Bedouins. She was imported to Egypt for the Khedive Abbas Pasha prior to 1855.

IN 2015, Al Fayed was elected Gold Champion on the occasion of the Sharjah Straight Egyptian Arabian Horse Show 2015

In ISSAN STUD, Al Fayed is to be an integral part of the 2017 breeding program, as we believe that this stunning stallion with his impeccable pedigree tracing to the most famous Straight Egyptian heritage will impart a highly positive breeding impact to Issan stud.

Al Fayed is CA & LFS clear.

ISSAN STUD Wins Gold as Well as Silver Championships in El Jadida!

The AHO Breeders Cup in El Jadida on October 11, 2016, was a great success for Mostafa Benlafkih and the team of Issan Stud.

Their young mare ISSAN RAYYANA won her class and went on to become Gold Champion. Her sibling ISSAN RAYHAN also won his class and later made Silver Champion. Both of them are by Rayyan Al Naif, also owned by Issan Stud.

Another successful horse of Issan Stud’s was their typey yearling filly ISSAN NILE PRINCESS, who finished second in her class and achieved the Bronze Champion title for herself later on.

And last but not least, there were ISSAN OMNIA and ISSAN JIZANE who each came in second for their respective classes, thereby qualifying for the AHO Breeders Cup Finals in Abu Dhabi. So no less than five home-bred ISSAN STUD horses are qualified to take part in the Abu Dhabi event.

ISSAN NILE PRINCESS Achieves the Fillies Bronze Championship at the Bouznika Breeders Cup!

Issan Nile Princess scored particularly well with her excellent gaits and movements, and with her Arabian charisma. She is a daughter of champion producer Ansata Nile Echo (Ansata Hejazi x Ansata White Nile) out of the mare Serene Farah, who is an import from Italy. Serene Farah is a daughter of Ibn Nejdy bred on Katharinenhof Stud by Dr Nagel, which makes Farah a half sibling of champion producer NK Hafid Jamil. Her damline also tails back to the horses from El Zahraa and Katharinenhof Stud.

Newsletter #1

When Mostafa Benlafkih founded his ISSAN STUD in Morocco four years ago, his love for Arabian horses was his main motivation. He did not have a strategic concept, but let himself be carried along on a wave of enthusiasm for the grace, elegance, and beauty of these horses. As he went along, hands-on experience resulted in a successful breeding concept for Egyptian Arabians that has already produced international success and recognition.

Judith Forbis, on a Pyramid Society conference, said: „Realize your dream, perfect your dream, share your dream“. This is how Mostafa Benlafkih built up this website. With newsletters on a regular basis, his intent is to keep the community of Straight Egyptian breeders informed on his horses, experiences, and strategies.

So this is newsletter no. 1.
